Job Overview
This Business Development Manager role exists to grow a North American technical product portfolio by creating new demand and converting it into long-term customer relationships. This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role that blends technical business development, sales engineering, and full-cycle sales execution.
You’ll work closely with customer engineering teams, internal technical experts, and cross-functional partners to support products and services used within customers’ broader systems and operations. The focus is practical and externally facing - Understanding customer needs, influencing requirements early, and guiding opportunities from discovery through RFQ and negotiation.
Your Impact
Market & Customer Development

Create new demand by identifying and developing opportunities within North American technical and industrial markets

Expand the organization’s footprint across existing products, product families, and emerging solutions

Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing customers
Technical Business Development & Sales Execution

Own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and early technical discovery through RFQ and final negotiation

Partner directly with customer engineering teams responsible for product integration

Maintain a strong technical understanding of the organization’s products, services, and competitive landscape

Collaborate with internal engineers on product feasibility, requirements, and development insights
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborate across internal teams to support customer onboarding and satisfaction

Contribute market feedback, competitive insights, and pricing intelligence to support product and business decisions
Industry Presence & Representation

Represent the organization through customer visits, sales meetings, presentations, and industry trade shows

Leverage professional networks, referrals, and associations to build pipeline and visibility
Required Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

5–7+ years of successful business development or technical sales experience

Strong background in technically complex, industrial, or product-driven environments
