Quality Technician

We are seeking an experienced Quality Technician to support quality assurance activities within a manufacturing environment. This position combines hands-on inspection with quality system documentation, auditing, corrective action and product compliance responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong manufacturing quality background and experience working within an AS9100 or ISO 9001 environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality inspection activities using dimensional inspection and gauging equipment.
  • Support incoming raw material inspection, review supplier documentation and assist with product release to manufacturing.
  • Maintain equipment calibration records and the calibration database.
  • Support internal Quality Management System audits, including preparation, documentation and follow-up.
  • Document and track corrective actions resulting from internal, customer, regulatory or third-party findings.
  • Maintain accurate quality records and documentation.
  • Plan, execute and maintain First Article Inspections (FAIs) for new products and required periodic updates.
  • Maintain certificates of analysis and certificates of conformance for incoming, in-process and finished products.
  • Identify and control nonconforming product until appropriate corrective action has been completed.
  • Monitor raw material inventory as needed.
  • Track scrap, maintain supporting data and prepare related reports.
  • Collect and inspect finished-product samples and accurately document findings.
  • Review quality-related shipping and purchase order documentation as needed.
  • Support employee quality training and related documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with production employees, leadership, suppliers and other internal and external partners.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of Quality Assurance experience within a manufacturing/production environment.
  • Experience with dimensional inspection and gauging equipment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail with solid analytical, problem-solving, organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation and work effectively within established quality systems.
  • Experience with AS9100 or ISO 9001 manufacturing environments is strongly preferred.
  • Quality-related certifications are a plus.

Location: Mishawaka, IN
Compensation: $26.00–$30.00/hour, based on qualifications and experience.
