We’re partnering with a small, growing metal fabrication company in Elkhart County to hire a dependable General Laborer. This is a physically active role supporting daily fabrication and production work - Ideal for someone with hands-on manufacturing experience or comfort using basic hand and power tools, and who values consistency, safety, and teamwork.

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the fabrication, assembly, and production of metal parts and products.

• Load and unload raw materials, finished products, and equipment.

• Operate basic hand tools, grinders, saws, and other fabrication equipment as needed.

• Perform general maintenance and cleaning of work areas and machinery.

• Support machine operators and welders by preparing materials and positioning parts.

• Conduct quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications.

• Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate protective gear at all times.

• Assist with packaging and shipping of finished products.

• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous experience in manufacturing, metal fabrication, or a related field is a plus.

• Ability to lift heavy materials (50+ lbs) and stand for extended periods.

• Basic understanding of hand and power tools.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

• Willingness to learn and work in a team-oriented environment.

• Ability to work in a physically demanding and fast-paced setting.

Work Environment:

• Exposure to loud noises, dust, and varying temperatures.

• Requires wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toe boots.

• May involve working with sharp or heavy materials.
