Logistics Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Logistics Manager to join our team in Mishawaka, IN!! 

This critical role involves overseeing all aspects of our logistics operations, including warehousing, inventory control, transportation, and distribution. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a drive for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

• Direct daily logistics operations, managing inbound and outbound shipments, warehouse organization, and distribution activities.
• Lead and mentor warehouse and logistics teams to ensure optimal performance and adherence to company standards.
• Oversee transportation planning, carrier selection, and freight cost management to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
• Collaborate with procurement, production, and quality teams to align logistics strategies with business objectives.

Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement

• Develop and implement systems for efficient receipt, storage, and shipment of products.
• Analyze supply chain and logistics data to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
• Implement logistics automation and optimize MRP and ERP projects to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Improve inventory management practices to minimize waste and prevent losses.

Inventory Control

• Monitor inventory transactions and conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy.
• Manage expiring, damaged, or non-compliant inventory to minimize financial loss.
• Ensure documentation accuracy and alignment between ERP systems and physical inventory.

Compliance, Safety & Quality

• Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and food safety regulations, reporting deviations as necessary.
• Support BRC and quality system integrity by adhering to established procedures and initiating corrective actions.
• Participate in mandatory safety, food safety, and quality training programs.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or supply chain management, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems required (SAP or similar preferred).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and adaptable to change.
