About Our Client
Our client is a high-growth AI and data innovation consultancy trusted by federal agencies—including the SEC, PCAOB, DDOT, and DCAA—to solve mission-critical data challenges. Their work spans the complete data lifecycle, from enterprise governance and cloud architecture to production machine learning pipelines and executive visualization.
They are recognized for delivery excellence: winner of the United Nations COP27 Datathon, recipient of multiple SEC Chair’s and Vision Awards, commended by FDA leadership, and consistently rated "Exceptional" across all federal CPARS reviews.
Structured as a certified Benefit Corporation and SBA 8(a) firm, they operate with a mission-first ethos: business success must generate measurable public value, solve difficult federal problems, and invest deeply in technical staff. They lead with a core philosophy—people, process, and technology, in that order.
The Mission & First Project
In this role, you will take integrated delivery ownership of three production data products across the firm and its federal delivery partners.
This is a hands-on technical delivery role, not an administrative coordinator position. You will convert a rigid delivery schedule and complex technical scope into clear engineering decisions, on-time federal acceptance, and a high-performing cross-functional team.
Your day-one deliverables include:
-
Unified Program Governance: Establish and manage a single integrated master plan, backlog, release calendar, risk register, decision log, and definition of done.
-
Milestone Execution: Drive delivery across all monthly milestones and formal federal deliverables, ensuring complete technical verification and acceptance evidence are locked down prior to submission.
-
Agile Leadership: Run a disciplined agile cadence connecting daily standups, biweekly technical demonstrations, weekly client management syncs, and formal monthly federal reporting.
-
Dependency & Blocker Elimination: Proactively resolve complex blockers across environment access, data ingestion pipelines, cloud architecture, subcontractor staffing, and federal security clearances.
-
High-Signal Communication: Author crisp, actionable status reports, escalation paths, and risk trade-offs designed for rapid executive decision-making.
-
Partner Performance Management: Maintain visible accountability and quality control across all project resources, including prime and subcontractor personnel.
What You Bring
Minimum Qualifications
-
8+ years of technical delivery leadership, including direct ownership of at least three enterprise data, analytics, cloud migration, or artificial intelligence (AI) programs.
-
Hands-on Technical Fluency: Practical working knowledge across data engineering pipelines, cloud infrastructure, analytics stacks, automated testing, and model deployment workflows.
-
Federal Delivery Track Record: Direct experience navigating federal clients, subcontractor teams, contract deliverables, formal government acceptance criteria, and security onboarding processes.
-
Practical Agile Execution: Demonstrated mastery of backlog grooming, sprint planning, client demos, retrospectives, and corrective delivery action plans.
-
Stakeholder Management: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to brief agency executives comfortably while translating client feedback into structured engineering tasks.
-
Education & Security: Bachelor’s degree; United States citizenship (contract requirements strictly prohibit dual citizens and green card holders); and the ability to satisfy all required federal agency suitability, background, and access checks.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Proven delivery experience on federal environments accredited at DoD/FedRAMP Impact Level 5 (IL-5) or higher.
-
Technical familiarity with Azure Databricks, Microsoft Power BI, ServiceNow, or federal financial and audit data systems.
-
PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or formal Product Management credentials supported by verifiable enterprise outcomes.
-
Experience managing firm-fixed-price (FFP) contracts and deliverable-based invoicing schedules.
Culture & Candidate Fit
-
Composure Under Fire: You remain calm under delivery pressure and escalate emerging blockers early before they turn into costly program failures.
-
Low Ego, High Accountability: You communicate directly, maintain rigorous delivery standards, and are comfortable holding senior engineers and partner leads accountable.
-
Altitude Range: You can present strategic milestones to federal agency executives in the morning and review pipeline test coverage or sprint backlogs in the afternoon.
-
Tenacious Execution: You understand that passive check-ins do not resolve federal access bottlenecks—you follow through relentlessly until dependencies clear.
-
Integrity in Reporting: You protect customer relationships without obscuring hard delivery realities from executive leadership.
Total Rewards & Benefits
-
Base Salary: $150,000 – $165,000 per year (Full-time W-2).
-
100% Employer-Paid Healthcare: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage with 100% of employee premiums covered and 50% dependent coverage.
-
Retirement: 401(k) with an immediate 100% company match up to 4% of salary and immediate vesting.
-
Time Off: Unlimited paid time off (PTO).
-
Insurance Coverage: Employer-paid life, accidental death, and short-term and long-term disability policies.
-
Continuous Learning: Fully sponsored technical certifications (e.g., DCAM, AWS credentials) and continuing education support.
