The Opportunity

We are exclusively recruiting for a digital integration consultancy on a mission to build a better tomorrow. Our client combines technology, people, and organizational development to solve meaningful problems and deliver smart, user-friendly solutions that make tech work better for everyone.

This organization is built differently. They believe you are a whole person, not just a job title. You will be supported by coaches, not micromanagers, and you will have the autonomy and clarity to make decisions and drive real impact.

Your Role & Impact

As a Senior Data Analyst (Senior Consultant), you will serve as an expert in data analysis, engineering, and science, leading the implementation, configuration, and optimization of web analytics solutions. You will drive organizational transformation by architecting scalable data platforms, building advanced machine learning solutions, and mentoring customers and teams to become data-driven.

In this role, you will work closely with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, and business executives to develop measurement strategies, implement analytics tracking, and deliver actionable insights that support product and business objectives. This position is primarily remote, with occasional travel or onsite meetings based on business needs.

What You Will Do

  • Configure & Optimize Analytics: You will configure, administer, and optimize Matomo Analytics (including goals, events, custom dimensions, segments, and dashboards) alongside Google Analytics 4.

  • Manage Tagging: You will configure and support tag management platforms, including Google Tag Manager and Matomo Tag Manager.

  • Define Strategy: You will develop measurement strategies that align analytics with business objectives, defining KPIs, success metrics, reporting frameworks, and tracking plans.

  • Implement & Troubleshoot: You will translate business questions into measurable requirements, implement and validate tracking across web applications, and partner with engineering teams to resolve data quality issues.

  • Deliver Insights & Documentation: You will develop dashboards and actionable reports for stakeholders, creating clear analytics documentation and implementation standards.

  • Ensure Compliance: You will seamlessly balance meaningful analytics with strict privacy and consent management requirements.

  • Lead & Advise: You will take ownership of risk management, coach and mentor peers in data literacy, and shape client engagement by providing actionable recommendations that inform strategy.

Who You Are (Requirements)

  • Experience: You bring a minimum of 5 years of experience in web analytics, analytics implementation, or related data analysis roles.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • Technical Expertise:

  • Proven experience configuring, administering, and optimizing Matomo Analytics.

  • Experience configuring Google Analytics 4 and utilizing tag management platforms (Google Tag Manager, Matomo Tag Manager).

  • Demonstrated ability to translate business questions into measurable analytics requirements and tracking plans.

  • Experience implementing, troubleshooting, and validating analytics tracking across web applications.

  • Delivery & Collaboration: You have experience partnering with engineering teams and collaborating with cross-functional teams in Agile delivery environments.

  • Compliance Knowledge: You possess a strong understanding of data privacy principles, consent management, and analytics best practices within regulated environments.

  • Competencies: You possess strong analytical and synthetic thinking skills, adaptability, deep ownership, and the ability to skillfully negotiate conflicting priorities.

Bonus Points (Preferred)

  • Experience administering self-hosted or on-premises Matomo environments or exporting raw analytics data via APIs.

  • Experience using SQL, spreadsheets, or BI tools for advanced data analysis.

  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to support event tracking validation.

  • Experience establishing analytics processes in greenfield environments.

  • Experience supporting government, healthcare, civic technology, or other highly regulated industries.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary Hiring Range: $120,588 - $141,000 (Maximum salary potential for this band is $195,955).

  • Bonuses: You are eligible for discretionary bonuses based on individual and company performance criteria.

  • Health Coverage: 100% coverage for the medical HSA plan (plus employer HSA contributions). Dental and vision are covered 100% for you and your dependents.

  • Retirement & Security: 401(k) with a 4% match and immediate vesting; employer-paid life insurance, and disability coverage.

  • Work-Life Balance: Generous PTO, 11 Federal Holidays, a Birthday Holiday, and Sick Leave. Paid Parental Leave and 12 weeks paid FMLA.
