Plating Engineer (Chrome)- OK (relocation is available)My client is in search of a Plating Engineer (chrome) to advise and enhancetheir chrome plating operations. This role is critical in ensuring the quality,efficiency, and compliance of our plating processes while fostering a culture ofsafety and continuous improvement within the team.Responsibilities• Advise on chrome plating operations, ensuring adherence to industrystandards and safety guidelines.• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiencyand reduce waste in plating operations.• Work directly with plating technicians, providing mentorship andtraining to ensure high-quality workmanship.• Monitor plating quality through rigorous testing and inspection,addressing any discrepancies promptly.• Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams totroubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.• Establish and maintain robust documentation practices for compliancewith regulatory and internal standards.• Ensure the maintenance and calibration of plating equipment tooptimize performance and longevity.Required and Preferred QualificationsRequired:• 5+ years of experience in chrome plating or related manufacturingprocesses.• Strong understanding of plating chemistry, equipment, and processes.• Proven ability to implement process improvements and quality controlmeasures.• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.• Strong communication skills and the ability to lead a diverse team.Preferred:• Experience with automated plating systems and advanced platingtechnologies.• Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards related to platingoperations in the industries of aerospace and oil and gas.• Background in lean manufacturing methodologies.Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies• Proficiency in plating processes, including electroplating, and relatedchemical processes.• Familiarity with quality assurance tools and techniques, includingstatistical process control (SPC).• Experience with process monitoring software and equipmentmaintenance systems.Soft Skills and Cultural Fit• Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team development andmotivation.• Ability to work collaboratively across departments to achieveoperational goals.• Results-oriented mindset with a commitment to quality and safety.• Adaptable to changing priorities and able to thrive in a fast-paced
