Senior Project Manager - Civil Engineer

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager – Civil Engineer to lead and oversee land development projects. This role is ideal for a licensed Civil Engineer with 10+ years of experience who excels in project management, technical expertise, and team leadership. The right candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, exceptional client management skills, and a passion for business development.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership:
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of complex land development projects.
- Manage project teams, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
- Coordinate with municipalities, clients, and internal teams for smooth project execution.
- Act as the main client contact, ensuring expectations are met throughout the project.
Technical Expertise:
- Oversee site grading, drainage, roadway, utility, and structural design.
- Ensure all projects comply with local, state, federal, and international codes and safety regulations.
- Utilize advanced engineering software like Civil 3D and GIS to develop high-quality designs.
- Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to tackle engineering challenges.
- Stay updated on industry trends and integrate innovative technologies into workflows.
Team Development:
- Mentor and guide engineering teams, fostering professional growth and collaboration.
- Provide technical leadership and career development support to team members.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, providing expert insights to enhance project success.
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company’s project portfolio.
- Collaborate on proposals, participate in client presentations, and help secure new projects.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Professional Engineering - PE license required).
- 10+ years of civil engineering experience with a focus on land development.
- Proven ability to lead engineering teams and manage large-scale projects.
- Strong technical expertise in civil engineering principles and best practices.
- Excellent client relationship management and communication skills.
- Experience with business development, including proposals and client presentations.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.
