An AmLaw 50 national law firm is seeking Associate Attorneys to join their IP Litigation Group in San Francisco, Los Angeles, or Washington, DC. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to take their career in IP litigation to the next level.

 

Candidate Profile

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
  • 3-5 years of experience in intellectual property litigation.
  • A Technical background is strongly preferred.
  • Undergraduate Degree: Computer Science or Electrical Engineering degree preferred.
  • Strong experience handling all phases of IP litigation, including pre-suit investigations, discovery, motion practice, depositions, expert discovery, and trial preparation.
  • Soft Skills: Strong writing, analytical, and interpersonal skills are essential. The ideal candidate will be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, working collaboratively or independently.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle complex IP litigation matters from inception through trial and appeal, including patent and technology-related disputes.
  • Analyze technical documentationscientific data, and patent claims to support litigation strategy and expert development.
  • Advise leading technology and life sciences companies on IP enforcementdefense strategies, and risk management.
  • Appear in federal district courtsappellate courts, and before administrative bodies such as the PTAB.
  • Work closely with partners, clients, and technical experts to develop innovative legal strategies and achieve litigation goals.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive compensation: Includes an annual salary range of $310,000-$420,000, commensurate with experience, along with a generous bonus structure.
