Note:

This position requires employees to be on-site two days per week at the Overland Park, KS office (After 3 months of on-site training). Flexible work-from-home options are available the remaining days.

Note: You must have at least 2 years of legal assistant experience and some IP experience. If you do not meet this requirement, please do not schedule a call, as it will be canceled.

Job Description

Assist attorneys with preparation and filing of U.S. and international patent and trademark documents
Manage correspondence with the USPTO and foreign associates
Maintain legal files, manage deadlines, and monitor docketing systems
Perform other administrative and paralegal duties as needed
No billing requirements for this role
Work a 7.5-hour day, Monday to Friday

Qualifications

Required:

2+ years of law office administrative experience
Intellectual property experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
Typing speed of at least 60 wpm

Preferred:

Familiarity with CPi docketing software
Experience using document management systems like NetDocs
Background as a legal assistant or paralegal in a law firm setting
