Our client, a leading manufacturer operating a 24/7 production facility, is seeking a certified Chief Stationary Engineer to oversee and execute plant maintenance operations. This hands-on role is critical to maintaining full operational capacity across all systems, and it demands a sharp technical mind with proven mechanical expertise. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with exceptional troubleshooting skills, a commitment to safety, and a drive to keep things running smoothly—day in and day out.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the charge on both scheduled and emergency maintenance tasks to ensure uninterrupted plant operations.

  • Serve as a go-to resource for daily maintenance needs, coordinating with departmental peers and supervisors.

  • Maintain and execute preventative maintenance schedules across plant systems and equipment.

  • Provide daily updates to plant leadership on project timelines, repair statuses, and facility conditions.

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and install equipment across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

  • Keep the maintenance workspace organized, compliant, and safe in accordance with OSHA and internal standards.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to meet company performance goals and drive plant efficiency.

  • Pitch in with other duties as needed—this is a team-first environment.

🛠 Qualifications & Must-Haves

  • Chief Stationary Engineer License – REQUIRED

  • 5+ years of maintenance experience in a production or manufacturing environment.

  • Degrees or certifications in mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical systems.

  • Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose and repair complex systems.

  • Physically capable of lifting 100+ lbs and working in confined or low-light spaces for extended periods.

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize urgent tasks.

  • COVID-19 vaccination required (or willingness to obtain).
