Commercial Auto / Wheels-Based Insurance Producer

Overview

We’re seeking an experienced, relationship-driven Commercial Auto Producer to expand our transportation and wheels-based portfolio. The ideal candidate understands trucking, fuel hauling, propane, towing, and crane/rigging risks—and knows how to build profitable accounts through direct-to-consumer and insured relationships.

This role combines traditional insurance production with modern risk management and telematics-driven solutions that reduce losses and improve underwriting outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow a book of commercial auto and transportation business.
• Prospect, quote, and close new accounts while maintaining renewals and client relationships.
• Collaborate with underwriting, safety, and telematics teams to tailor coverage solutions.
• Write traditional insurance programs, and when it’s a fit, present alternative risk and captive insurance options to qualified accounts.
• Represent the firm at industry events and client meetings.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience producing or underwriting commercial auto or trucking risks.
• Strong knowledge of Auto Liability, APD, GL, Cargo, and Inland Marine coverages.
• Proven sales record and established transportation network.
• Active P&C license; multi-state licensing preferred.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
