Role Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled Tax Senior to join our client in Woodland Hills. This is a pivotal "bridge" role where you will manage complex technical tax issues, review the work of junior staff, and act as a primary point of contact for our diverse client base.
Core Responsibilities
Your day-to-day will involve a mix of high-level technical preparation and team coordination:

Preparation & Review: Prepare complex federal and multi-state tax returns, including C-Corps, S-Corps, Partnerships, Trusts, and High-Net-Worth Individuals. You will also perform the first-level review of returns prepared by junior staff.

Technical Research: Investigate complicated tax law changes and draft technical memos to support tax positions or innovative planning strategies.

Project Management: Manage deadlines for multiple client engagements simultaneously, ensuring all tax estimates and extensions are filed accurately and on time.

Staff Mentorship: Supervise, train, and provide constructive feedback to junior associates to help them develop their technical skills.

Client Communication: Serve as a key contact for clients to gather data, resolve inquiries, and discuss strategic tax planning opportunities.
Typical Requirements
We are looking for candidates who can hit the ground running with the following qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; a Master’s in Taxation (MST) is highly preferred.

Experience: 3 to 6 years of experience in public accounting with a dedicated focus on tax.

Certification: A CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) status is typically required for advancement within the firm.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in professional tax software (e.g., UltraTax, CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx)
