Our client is a growing engineering consulting firm that helps clients manage fire and life safety risk through fire protection system design, code analysis, hazard evaluation, commissioning, and related technical services. The company is adding engineering capacity to meet sustained client demand and support a broader mix of projects and clients.

·    Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or a related technical field from an accredited college or university; fire protection engineering or fire protection engineering technology is preferred.

·    At least 6 years of relevant fire protection engineering experience, with the judgment and technical depth to independently lead engineering work from initial scope through final delivery.

·    Professional Engineer licensure (PE License), preferably in fire protection engineering, or senior-level NICET certification, is required.

·    Experience in one or more fire protection specialties, such as system design, code analysis and equivalency development, fire hazard analysis, fire and smoke modeling, property loss control, hazardous materials protection, commissioning, or fire investigation.

·    Ability to develop practical solutions to complex technical problems, produce accurate work, and identify project scope, budget, or schedule concerns early.

·    Strong client-facing communication skills and the ability to explain technical recommendations clearly, manage expectations, and build trusted relationships.

·    Experience guiding junior engineers or technical staff, including assigning work, reviewing deliverables, and providing constructive coaching and feedback.

·    Strong organization, time management, analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with limited supervision.

·    Willingness to travel approximately 5-10% of the time, primarily through regional day trips when feasible; a valid U.S. driver's license and authorization to work in the United States are required.

·    Ability to work occasionally at client sites in outdoor conditions, confined spaces, or on ladders and elevated platforms, and to lift or move up to 50 pounds when project work requires it.

This remote role offers the flexibility of a home-based work environment while maintaining regular collaboration with clients and project teams. Limited travel is kept regional whenever possible, with day trips favored to support a practical balance between focused engineering work and time in the field. Typical travel amount ranges from 5-25%.
