Join our team as a Product Stewardship Specialist and play a vital role in ensuring our products meet regulatory compliance standards. This position is instrumental in managing product stewardship activities across various regulatory frameworks such as FDA food contact, hazard communication (SDS/GHS), TSCA, and international chemical regulations. You will serve as a key resource for identifying regulatory risks and providing guidance on compliance strategies, especially in the context of mergers, acquisitions, and new market ventures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • FDA Compliance: Interpret food contact regulations and prepare necessary documentation such as Food Contact Notifications (FCNs) for new and existing products.
  • Hazard Communications: Develop and maintain GHS-compliant Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and label content for product containers.
  • TSCA Management: Oversee TSCA compliance, including the preparation of Pre-Manufacture Notices (PMNs), polymer exemption reports, and annual reporting.
  • International Registrations: Assist in the preparation of New Substance Notifications (NSNs) and ensure compliance with REACH and other international chemical control regulations.
  • Advisory Support: Provide insights on product stewardship risks related to business ventures and mergers. Partner with Trade Compliance to support customs and transportation compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 7-9 years in product stewardship or regulatory affairs within the chemical industry. Experience with polymers, FDA food contact, and TSCA submissions is highly preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Toxicology, Pharmacology, or Chemical Engineering required. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, GHS hazard classification, SDS authoring, and understanding of chemical control laws like TSCA, FDA, and REACH.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

This role is primarily office-based with standard office equipment and moderate noise levels. It requires the ability to perform sedentary work with occasional standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds. The position may require up to 10% domestic and international travel.

Language Requirement: Fluency in English, both written and oral, is essential.
