Crew Foreman (Artificial Surfaces) Athletic
Our client is a leader in the sports surfacing industry, specializing in the design and installation of outdoor running tracks and athletic surfaces. With operations based in Destin, FL and active projects across the Southeast and Midwest, we bring premium-quality track systems to educational institutions, municipalities, and sports facilities nationwide. Position Overview:
Our client builds and resurfaces running tracks and athletic fields for schools and universities across the Southeast and Midwest. We’re looking for an experienced Crew Foreman to lead small teams that install and finish high-performance running tracks.
What You’ll Do
• Lead a crew on athletic track installation projects. • Operate SMG machines (paver, sprayer, mixer) and hand tools. • Make sure work meets quality and safety standards. • Report job progress and work directly with project managers. • Travel with your crew to job sites (mostly outdoors work).
What We Require
• 2+ years installing running tracks or synthetic surfaces. • 2+ years leading a crew or working as a foreman. • Able to speak and understand clear English (for safety & instructions). • Trainable with basic technology — phone apps, email, daily reports. • Good mechanical skills, reliable, and organized. • Can lift 80 lbs. and work long days outside. • Valid driver’s license and clean record. • Can pass background and drug screening.
Travel Schedule
• In-Season (Apr–Nov): 100% travel, 2–3 weeks per project, back-to-back jobs. • Off-Season (Dec–Mar): Travel as needed for shop work, training, or maintenance.
Work Hours
• Monday–Friday, 10-hour days (some weekends). • 40–60 hours/week during busy season.
