HR Generalist
CMM Talent Partners is supporting a growing client headquartered in Houston, TX who is seeking a knowledgeable and versatile HR Generalist on a direct hire basis.
HR Generalist Overview
The HR Generalist plays an essential role in supporting and delivering HR services aligned with the company’s workforce needs. Reporting to the VP of Global Human Resources, this position provides hands-on support across HR operations, employee relations, compliance, and talent-related programs. The ideal candidate brings strong problem-solving skills, a customer-focused mindset, and experience working in fast-paced, multi-location environments.
HR Generalist Key Responsibilities
Support HR initiatives and programs that align with organizational and regional business goals.
Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and employee relations matters.
Assist with recruitment activities, onboarding, and workforce planning needs across North America.
Administer HR processes including performance management, compensation cycles, and employee development programs.
Partner with leaders to address employee relations concerns, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations, as well as internal corporate standards.
Support global HR initiatives and coordinate with international HR partners as needed.
Manage and maintain HR data, prepare reports, and analyze key HR metrics to support decision-making.
Assist with training and development initiatives, employee engagement activities, and internal communications.
Help facilitate organizational changes, team transitions, and cultural initiatives.
Uphold confidentiality and promote ethical HR practices across all interactions and processes.
HR Generalist Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
3–7 years of HR experience, preferably in manufacturing, technology, or global environments.
Strong understanding of HR operations, employee relations, and employment law.
Experience supporting multi-location or international teams is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Professional HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred but not required.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality, build trust, and work effectively at all levels of the organization.
