As our Client Accounting Services (CAS) practice continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our bookkeeping and outsourced accounting department while helping drive the continued growth of our firm.
Position Summary
The Accounting Manager will lead the firm's Client Accounting Services (Bookkeeping) department, overseeing a team of approximately 4–5 bookkeepers while serving as a technical accounting resource for both clients and staff.
This individual will be responsible for managing multiple client engagements, reviewing financial statements, supervising staff, and ensuring the accuracy of accounting records across a diverse client base.
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and intercompany accounting, including experience with Due To/Due From accounts and multi-entity organizations.
Candidates may come from either a public accounting or corporate accounting background, provided they possess exceptional accounting knowledge and leadership abilities.
This position reports directly to the Firm Partners and works closely alongside the firm's Tax Managers.
Responsibilities
· Lead and manage the firm's Client Accounting Services (Bookkeeping) department.
· Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of approximately 4–5 bookkeepers.
· Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for accuracy and completeness.
· Oversee month-end and year-end close processes for multiple clients.
· Review general ledger activity, journal entries, reconciliations, and adjusting entries.
· Manage complex intercompany accounting, including Due To/Due From transactions.
· Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
· Maintain and improve internal accounting processes and workflows.
· Serve as the primary accounting contact for assigned clients.
· Collaborate closely with the firm's Tax Managers to ensure accurate year-end reporting and tax preparation.
· Train, coach, and develop junior accounting staff.
· Assist Partners with special projects and departmental initiatives.
· Foster exceptional client relationships through responsive and proactive communication.
Qualifications
Required
· Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
· Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience
· Strong understanding of:
o General Ledger Accounting
o Financial Statement Preparation
o Month-End & Year-End Close
o Account Reconciliations
o Intercompany Accounting
o Due To/Due From Accounting
· Experience reviewing the work of others
· Strong communication and client service skills
· Excellent organizational and time management abilities
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced public accounting environment
Preferred
· Master's Degree in Accounting
· CPA license or actively pursuing CPA certification
· Previous public accounting experience
· Experience with Client Accounting Services (CAS) or outsourced accounting
· Prior supervisory or management experience
· Experience using:
o QuickBooks Online
o QuickBooks Desktop
o Orion (preferred but not required)

Compensation
· $80,000 – $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
