Position Overview

This is a senior-level Business Management role responsible for managing complex financial affairs for high-net-worth entertainment clients. The successful candidate will oversee client relationships, supervise accounting staff, coordinate tax planning efforts, and provide strategic financial guidance while serving as the primary point of contact for an assigned portfolio.


Responsibilities

Client Management

  • Serve as the primary financial advisor for assigned clients.

  • Manage all day-to-day financial operations for a portfolio of entertainment clients.

  • Build long-term relationships with clients and their professional representatives.

  • Coordinate with attorneys, business managers, agents, wealth advisors, and tax professionals.

  • Conduct financial planning discussions and provide strategic recommendations.

Accounting & Financial Oversight

  • Review financial statements and reporting packages.

  • Oversee general ledger activity and month-end close.

  • Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting.

  • Review bank reconciliations and financial reporting.

  • Approve significant payments, wire transfers, and financial transactions.

  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Tax & Financial Planning

  • Coordinate quarterly tax planning and annual tax preparation.

  • Review tax packages and supporting documentation.

  • Identify financial planning opportunities and potential areas of risk.

  • Collaborate with internal and external tax professionals.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop Account Executives, Bookkeepers, and Accounting staff.

  • Review work product for quality and accuracy.

  • Assist with training, workflow improvements, and operational efficiencies.

  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment.

Entertainment Business Management

  • Oversee tour accounting and settlement reporting.

  • Monitor royalty reporting and entertainment-related financial activity.

  • Assist clients with insurance coordination and major financial decisions.

  • Provide financial oversight for touring artists, music professionals, executives, and other high-net-worth individuals.


Qualifications

  • 7+ years of entertainment Business Management experience.

  • Experience independently managing a full client portfolio.

  • Strong background supporting music and touring clients.

  • Previous experience supervising accounting or business management staff.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting, bookkeeping, financial reporting, and cash management.

  • Experience coordinating tax planning and tax return preparation.

  • Experience with QuickBooks, AgilLink, Datafaction, and advanced Microsoft Excel.

  • CPA designation preferred but not required.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple high-profile clients with minimal supervision.
