Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and scientifically adept professional to fill the role of Director of Medical Affairs. This pivotal position focuses on leveraging clinical expertise and genomic insights to foster innovation and facilitate effective communication across diverse stakeholder groups. This is a hands-on role that requires a proactive approach to scientific leadership without direct personnel management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evidence Generation & Public Medical Affairs: Lead the development and dissemination of clinical studies and real-world evidence that underscore the clinical and economic value of diagnostic portfolios. Engage with key opinion leaders and academic institutions to encourage collaborative research initiatives.
  • Scientific Communication & Content Oversight: Oversee the creation and accuracy of scientific content for marketing and educational purposes. Ensure compliance with industry standards while maintaining an independent stance from commercial strategies.
  • Health System & Payor Engagement: Act as the primary scientific liaison to health systems and payor organizations, presenting evidence-based insights to guide clinical and coverage decisions.

Qualifications

  • Required:
    • MD and/or PhD with expertise in genetics, genomics, or molecular diagnostics.
    • Experience in the diagnostics industry, specifically in medical affairs or clinical research roles.
    • Proven track record of conducting and publishing scientific research and developing presentations.
    • Exceptional communication skills for translating complex scientific data into accessible information.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects independently.
    • Experience in dynamic environments, with a willingness to adapt to various roles.
  • Preferred:
    • Background in women’s health, particularly in prenatal and reproductive genetics.
    • Established connections with key opinion leaders in relevant medical fields.
    • Familiarity with ACMG guidelines and payor coverage frameworks for diagnostics.
