Overview
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for a proven senior sales leader within digital pathology, diagnostics, or pathology services. The role will lead U.S. commercial growth for an established, revenue-generating healthcare organization that is evolving from traditional pathology services into a technology-enabled, AI-supported diagnostic platform.
This position will appeal to a leader who thrives in growth-stage environments, enjoys building and scaling teams, and wants meaningful ownership and influence over national commercial strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and lead the U.S. commercial and sales strategy, translating market insight into executable growth plans across services and platform adoption
- Drive national revenue growth with a balance of new business development and strategic account expansion
- Act as a hands-on sales leader, remaining directly involved in key sales cycles and customer relationships
- Build, scale, and lead the U.S. commercial organization over the next 12 to 24 months, including hiring, coaching, and performance management
- Define and evolve territory models, account segmentation, and go-to-market strategy as the business scales
- Serve as a primary field presence, engaging directly with laboratory executives, pathologists, and senior stakeholders
- Act as the voice of the customer, feeding market insight back into product, operations, and leadership teams
- Establish repeatable sales processes, playbooks, and operating rhythms that support sustainable growth
- Support required compliance and training initiatives related to information security, quality, and regulatory standards
Required Experience and Background
- Senior national sales leadership experience within digital pathology, diagnostics, or pathology services
- Deep understanding of the U.S. pathology and laboratory landscape, including buyer dynamics and operational pressures
- Proven ability to sell complex, high-value solutions in multi-stakeholder environments
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. pathology economics, including TC and PC, reporting workflows, and revenue models
- Experience managing broad territories and leading field-based sales organizations
- Demonstrated success building, coaching, and scaling high-performing commercial teams
- Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution
- Comfort operating in fast-growing, technology-driven healthcare environments

- Experience working with partner-based or vendor-supported delivery models
- Exposure to clinical networks or distributed service models
