About the Opportunity

Our client, a rapidly growing molecular diagnostics organization, is seeking a Director of Strategic Accounts to drive strategic growth initiatives within regional health systems, academic medical centers, and integrated delivery networks.

This individual will play a key role in expanding market presence through strategic partnerships, contracting initiatives, EMR integrations, and enterprise-level account development. The position offers the opportunity to build and scale a strategic accounts function while collaborating with executive leadership to support continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Build and maintain relationships with health system executives, laboratory leaders, medical directors, precision medicine stakeholders, and other key decision-makers.
  • Identify and secure contracting opportunities, including RFPs and other strategic agreements.
  • Lead initiatives involving EMR integrations and implementation of diagnostic testing solutions within large healthcare organizations.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, operations, and leadership teams to ensure successful execution of business objectives.
  • Provide market intelligence, competitive insights, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Monitor key performance metrics and develop strategies to improve account performance and customer engagement.
  • Support the development, mentoring, and eventual expansion of a strategic accounts team.
  • Drive enterprise-level partnerships and long-term business development initiatives across multiple diagnostic service lines.
  • Travel as needed to support customer engagement and business objectives.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in diagnostics sales, strategic accounts, business development, or related commercial leadership roles.
  • Experience working with health systems, integrated delivery networks, academic medical centers, or large healthcare organizations.
  • Demonstrated success driving revenue growth, market expansion, and strategic partnerships.
  • Experience managing complex negotiations and contracting discussions with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations, laboratory services, and value-based healthcare initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

Preferred

  • Leadership experience building, developing, or managing commercial teams.
  • Experience supporting EMR integrations and enterprise implementation projects.
  • Background in genetics, molecular diagnostics, precision medicine, or related laboratory services.
