Job Title: Pathology Account Executive

Our client is a regional healthcare services organization specializing in physician-facing diagnostic and pathology solutions. The organization partners closely with medical practices to support clinical decision-making through high-quality laboratory and tissue-based testing services.
The Pathology Account Executive is responsible for managing and growing a defined sales territory by developing new provider relationships and expanding utilization within existing accounts. This role focuses on pathology and diagnostic services supporting gastrointestinal and genitourinary care and is primarily field-based.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a territory plan to grow revenue across assigned accounts
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within physician practices and outpatient settings
- Build long-term relationships with providers through consultative, solution-oriented selling
- Present and support pathology and laboratory testing services, including tissue-based and advanced diagnostic solutions
- Engage with gastroenterology, urology, surgical centers, and related specialties
- Coordinate with internal clinical and operational teams to ensure service alignment and account satisfaction
- Maintain accurate activity tracking and pipeline management using CRM tools
- Support onboarding of new accounts and expansion of service utilization
Qualifications
Required Experience & Education
- 5+ years of experience in pathology, laboratory, diagnostics, or medical sales
- Consistent track record of territory growth and sales performance
- Experience calling on physicians and healthcare practices
- Strong consultative selling and relationship management skills
- Familiarity with pathology and diagnostic service models
- General understanding of healthcare operations and reimbursement environments
- Bachelor’s degree required
