The Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) conducts daily routine planning to ensure quality service, cost, and productivity. Interacts with pathologists as needed to resolve any issues. The CLS ensures inspections, preventative maintenance care and safe equipment operating procedures are followed. Completes successful
training to align with SOP's and competency checklists. Ensures records are kept up-to-date and maintained in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. Maintains knowledge of CAP/CLIA regulations. Adheres to departmental and company code of grooming and uniform policies, appearing neat and clean at all times. Achieves desired level of competency for the main departmental processes and responsibilities of CLS position within 6 months. Communicate effectively with the entire flow staff.

Core Responsibilities
• Completes all aspects of leukemia-lymphoma immunophenotyping, including sample
preparation, staining, acquisition, and data analysis.
• Assists with the development, organization, and validation of new tests.
• Helps with administrative duties including writing and maintain procedures, completing
proficiency testing, and maintaining supply inventory as needed.
• Prepares reagent stock and working solutions.
• Monitors proper use and consumption of reagents, materials and consumables.
• Performs other related duties as needed and deemed by manager.
Additional Responsibilities (may be assigned):
• Perform other duties as assigned by Flow Cytometry Supervisor

BA/BS degree or equivalent experience preferred. Current and Active General CLS License.
Two (2) or more year(s) experience in the Flow Cytometry field; prior experience in a clinical
laboratory preferred.
