Food Safety / Quality Assurance Manager
Food Management Search is recruiting a Food Safety / Quality Assurance Manager for a long-established, privately held specialty food company in the Greater Boston area.
This is a hands-on opportunity for a practical food safety and quality professional who wants ownership, visibility, and variety. The right person will work closely with production, operations, suppliers, and management while leading food safety and quality systems in a smaller company environment where their work will make a direct impact.
The position will be responsible for maintaining and improving programs related to SQF, HACCP, PCQI, GMPs, audits, documentation, supplier quality, product specifications, sanitation standards, employee training, corrective actions, and customer quality requirements.
Ideal background:
BS - Science.
• 3+ years of QA/QC or food manufacturing experience
• SQF program experience
• HACCP, PCQI, and SQF certification preferred
• Better Process Control School preferred
• Experience with acidified, brined, pickled, shelf-stable, or related foods is a plus
• Strong documentation, audit, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Hands-on, self-motivated, and comfortable working across departments
Compensation & benefits:
• Base salary: $95–$105K + 10% + Profit sharing plan + Company health insurance + 15 days Paid vacation + 8 holidays
• Monday–Friday daytime schedule
