Multi-Unit Area Manager - QSR
Regional operator with more than 200 full- and part-time employees. Each restaurant generates approximately $1 million to $1.5 million in annual sales and employs 20–35 team members, depending on the season. POSITION OVERVIEW
The Area Manager will provide hands-on leadership for 3 quick-service restaurants, directly managing and developing the General Managers at each location. This is not a desk-only position. The successful candidate will be highly visible in the restaurants, understand the details of daily operations, and step in wherever needed to support the managers and their teams.
The Area Manager will be accountable for sales, profitability, food quality, labor management, customer service, cleanliness, staffing, training, safety, and overall operating performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Lead, coach, support, and hold accountable the General Managers of three restaurant locations
· Oversee daily operations while maintaining a regular presence in each restaurant
· Manage location-level P&L performance, including sales, food cost, labor, inventory, and controllable expenses
· Establish clear performance expectations and conduct regular manager evaluations
· Recruit, train, develop, and retain strong restaurant management teams
· Ensure consistent execution of company operating procedures and service standards
· Monitor food quality, speed of service, cleanliness, safety, and customer satisfaction
· Analyze operating results and implement corrective action when goals are not being achieved
· Resolve customer concerns and operational issues promptly and professionally
· Ensure compliance with food-safety, health-department, employment, and workplace-safety requirements
· Support local marketing programs and initiatives designed to increase restaurant sales
· Maintain productive working relationships with ownership, managers, employees, vendors, and outside business partners
· Assist with new-store development or other special projects as the organization grows
· Perform restaurant-level duties and provide hands-on operational support when needed
QUALIFICATIONS
· 5+ years of restaurant management experience
· Multi-unit, Area Manager, District Manager, or comparable leadership experience strongly preferred
· Quick-service restaurant, fast-casual, drive-thru, or high-volume foodservice experience required
· Proven success managing food cost, labor, sales, profitability, and customer-service performance
· Demonstrated ability to develop General Managers and build accountable management teams
· Strong understanding of restaurant P&L statements and operating metrics
· Hands-on leadership style with a strong sense of urgency
· Excellent interpersonal, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills
· Detail-oriented and capable of managing several locations and priorities simultaneously
· Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
· High school diploma or equivalent required
· Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly among assigned locations
SCHEDULE
The normal schedule is approximately 45 hours per week, generally Monday through Friday. Flexibility is essential, and some evening or weekend availability will be required based on seasonal volume, staffing, and business needs.

· Base salary of $70–$80K based on experience
· Performance bonus targeted at approximately 10% annually and paid semiannually
