REAL ESTATE TRANSACTIONS ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

HYBRID (3 days/week in-office)

 

 

Our client, a prestigious AmLaw 50 international law firm, is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join its prominent Real Estate Practice Group in New York or Miami. This role offers the opportunity to handle sophisticated commercial real estate transactions within a collaborative, fast-paced, and high-performing practice that advises major institutional, commercial, and developer clients. The ideal candidate will bring strong transactional experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage complex deals with precision and independence.

 

 

Candidate Profile

  • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
  • Active Bar Admission in the applicable jurisdiction, in good standing
  • 3–5 years of substantive commercial real estate transactional experience
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Purchase and sale transactions
    • Leasing (retail, office, and/or industrial)
    • Real estate lending matters (representing lenders or borrowers)
  • Proven ability to manage deals independently, including leading diligence review and coordinating closing processes
  • Strong drafting, analytical, communication, and writing skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment
 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle sophisticated commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing matters
  • Lead and manage comprehensive due diligence processes, including title, survey, and related investigations
  • Draft, review, and negotiate transactional documents such as purchase and sale agreements, leases, and loan documents
  • Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams to facilitate efficient and timely deal execution
  • Provide business-oriented legal counsel to clients, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
  • Support senior attorneys on high-value transactions involving institutional and commercial real estate clients
  • Deliver high-quality, detail-oriented work product under time-sensitive deadlines

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive Salary: Annual base salary is expected to range from $260,000-$365,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and market factors
