This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for a skilled mechanic who understands heavy diesel systems and takes pride in maintaining high-performance equipment.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines and related systems
• Perform routine maintenance and preventative service on locomotive components and heavy equipment
• Inspect mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems for proper operation
• Repair or replace defective components including engines, transmissions, fuel systems, and braking systems
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company standards

✅ Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Diesel Mechanic required (locomotive or heavy equipment strongly preferred)
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Experience with diagnostics and troubleshooting tools
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
