Laboratory Technician/ QC – 2nd Shift

Corporate Hiring Solutions (CHS) is currently hiring a Laboratory Technician for a leading plastic manufacturing client in Greenville, SC.

• Shift: 2nd Shift
• Schedule: 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM
• Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

The Laboratory Technician will support quality and production operations by performing basic testing, measurements, inspections, and other laboratory-related tasks within a plastic manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working as part of a team. This position requires the ability to follow established procedures accurately and recognize differences in product characteristics, including color.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory testing and quality checks on plastic materials and finished products.
• Follow established testing procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements.
• Perform basic measurements and mathematical calculations.
• Record test results and production information accurately.
• Inspect materials and products for quality, consistency, and specifications.
• Identify and communicate quality concerns or abnormalities to appropriate team members.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory/work area.
• Work closely with production and quality team members to support manufacturing operations.
• Follow all company safety, quality, and attendance policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous manufacturing, laboratory, quality control, or production experience is a plus.
• Basic math skills are required.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work the assigned 2nd shift.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to accurately distinguish colors and color differences.
• Must be comfortable working independently while also contributing effectively to a team.

Schedule

2nd Shift: 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM

Candidates should be available for a consistent second-shift schedule.

Interview Availability

Interviews are preferred in the afternoon, after 1:00 PM.
