We are working with a dynamic charter school system in Benton Harbor, MI, to find passionate and dedicated teachers for their middle school and elementary school programs. Job Summary:

As a teacher within this charter school system, you will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters the academic and personal growth of students. You will design and implement lesson plans that meet state standards and adapt to the needs of diverse learners. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with state standards and the school’s curriculum.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that supports student learning and development.
  • Assess and monitor student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support to help students achieve their educational goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to enhance the educational experience for all students.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in education.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
  • Support the school community by participating in extracurricular activities, committees, and events as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Requirement: Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Certification: Both certified and non-certified teachers will be considered; non-certified teachers must be willing to obtain certification in the future.
  • Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
  • Passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and colleagues.
