Our client, a highly respected AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a talented Insurance Coverage Associate to join its sophisticated Complex Insurance Coverage practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-stakes insurance coverage litigation and counseling matters for a diverse client base, alongside experienced practitioners in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical, writing, and communication skills, along with the initiative to manage matters independently while contributing meaningfully to team-based representations.
Candidate Profile
- JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
- Active Bar Admission in Texas or California, in good standing
- 3+ years of substantive experience handling complex insurance coverage litigation and counseling matters
- Professional liability insurance coverage experience is a plus
- Demonstrated strong legal writing and oral communication skills
- Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and exercise sound judgment
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach with a strong sense of ownership over matters
Key Responsibilities
- Advise and represent clients in complex insurance coverage disputes and related litigation
- Provide strategic coverage counseling across a range of insurance products and industries
- Draft pleadings, briefs, coverage opinions, and other substantive legal memoranda
- Analyze insurance policies and assess coverage issues, exclusions, and defenses
- Collaborate with litigation teams and clients to develop effective legal strategies
- Manage matters efficiently while maintaining high standards of client service

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive Salary: $225,000 – $285,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications
- Eligibility for a discretionary bonus.
