Key Responsibilities:
- Perform precision assembly and disassembly of prototype and production rotary engines
- Inspect and measure machined components using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools
- Identify and resolve mechanical issues during engine build processes
- Maintain accurate inventory of tools, components, and consumables
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shop and lab areas
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment and shop infrastructure
- Collaborate closely with engineers and other technicians to support design iterations and testing
- Document build procedures, discrepancies, and improvements for continuous process optimization
- Proven mechanical aptitude from automotive, aerospace, machining, or similar hands-on technical fields
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and assembly documentation
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on high-quality workmanship
- Familiarity with hand tools, torque wrenches, gauges, and shop equipment
- Experience with rotary or internal combustion engines is a plus
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in a workshop setting
