Compensation: Total annual compensation approximately $550,000 + Sign-On/Retention Bonus
Job Type: Full-time. Day shift. Average 3–4 weekday call shifts per month.
Location: Rutland, Vermont
We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologist to join a well-established, collaborative anesthesia team serving as the exclusive provider of anesthesia services at a community hospital. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive group of Anesthesiologists working alongside CAAs and CRNAs in a collegial, team-oriented environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care for surgical and procedural cases
- Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations and develop appropriate anesthesia plans
- Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care (MAC)
- Monitor patients intraoperatively and manage hemodynamic stability
- Provide post-anesthesia care and pain management
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, nursing staff, CRNAs, and CAAs
- Participate in shared weekday call schedule (3–4 shifts per month on average)
- Ensure timely, accurate documentation in accordance with hospital standards
- Maintain compliance with regulatory, credentialing, and quality standards
Qualifications:
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology residency program
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
- Eligible for or holding an active Vermont medical license
- Eligible for hospital credentialing and privileges
- Current ACLS certification (or ability to obtain)
- Strong clinical judgment and commitment to patient safety
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-based anesthesia model
