Overview:
Our client is a stable, growing manufacturing company seeking a Quality Engineer to support plant operations and drive continuous improvement across quality, safety, and process performance. This role partners closely with operations, engineering, and suppliers to strengthen quality systems, resolve issues, and improve overall manufacturing results.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for product, process, and supplier issues
• Support and maintain quality systems including control plans, PFMEA, and process validation
• Review and support part qualification activities (FAI, Gage R&R, capability studies, etc.)
• Analyze quality data and communicate trends and performance metrics
• Partner with suppliers on audits, corrective actions, and quality improvements
• Help define and improve incoming inspection standards
• Support internal and external audits and compliance activities
• Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and cost
• Promote lean manufacturing and problem-solving best practices
Requirements:
• 2+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or Continuous Improvement
• Manufacturing experience strongly preferred
• Experience or exposure to ISO and/or IATF quality systems a plus
• Working knowledge of:
• Root cause analysis and corrective action methods
• FMEA, Control Plans, PPAP
• SPC and capability studies
• Lean / Six Sigma tools
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Operations, or related field, or equivalent experience
