A top-10 AmLaw firm with a nationally recognized real estate practice, is seeking a skilled Associate Attorney to support its commercial leasing team across multiple offices. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and sophisticated practice advising on a wide range of leasing matters across asset classes, including office, retail, industrial, and life sciences properties. The role offers meaningful client interaction, hands-on responsibility, and the ability to work on high-value, complex transactions.
Candidate Profile

JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.

Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction, in good standing.

5+ years of substantive experience in handling commercial leases

Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating commercial leases and related agreements, including letters of intent, work letters, and SNDAs
- Strong understanding of market leasing terms across asset classes such as office, retail, industrial, and life sciences
- Substantial experience representing landlords
- Ability to manage complex leasing transactions independently and efficiently
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

AmLaw Experience: Relevant experience at an AmLaw 100 firm is strongly preferred.

Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills, strong business acumen, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as lead attorney in drafting and negotiating commercial leases and related agreements, including transfer consents, lender subordination agreements, and SNDAs
- Advise clients on leasing strategy, risk allocation, and market terms across multiple property types
- Collaborate with clients, brokers, property managers, and opposing counsel throughout the leasing lifecycle
- Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and support staff on leasing matters
- Manage multiple transactions simultaneously while maintaining high-quality work product and responsiveness

- Competitive Compensation: Annual base salary is expected to range from $250,000 – $300,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and market factors. Discretionary bonus opportunities are also available.
