A top-10 AmLaw firm is seeking a talented Junior Associate Attorney or (OPTIONAL) to join its nationally recognized Trademark, Copyright & Media Practice Group in one of these California offices: San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Silicon Valley. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior associate looking for partnership track or a junior to senior attorney looking for a non-partnership track position representing high-profile clients in complex disputes and counseling matters. The role offers significant client contact, diverse casework, and a collaborative environment within a flexible hybrid model.
Candidate Profile
- JD from a top-tier, nationally recognized law school with an excellent academic record.
- Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing.
- 2+ years of substantive experience with trademark & copyright counseling and litigation, trademark clearance, prosecution strategy, and portfolio management.
- Experience with trademark and copyright ownership, licensing, and fair use Intellectual property provisions in commercial and corporate transactions.
- Applicable prior AmLaw 100 law firm preferred
- Strong analytical and legal writing skills. Demonstrated oral and written advocacy communication skills; Research and problem-solving skills.
- Soft Skills: Attention to detail; Demonstrated ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice; Ability to manage multiple matters and client relationships in a fast-paced environment; Excellent organizational skills; Ability to work collaboratively and independently; Conceptual thinking; Ability to influence others; Persuasive communication; Management skills. Good business and professional judgment.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in complex trademark and copyright litigation, including trial-level work and disputes.
- Provide counseling on strategy, enforcement, risk management, and media law compliance.
- Assist in investigating, prosecuting, and defending against advertising, marketing, and unfair competition claims.
- Draft and argue motions, prepare discovery responses, and manage trial preparation.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external experts to develop case strategies and ensure seamless representation.

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive Compensation: Annual base salary is expected to range from $200,000 – $310,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and market factors.
- Eligibility to earn a discretionary bonus.
