Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced hospice clinical leader to provide overall direction and oversight for its clinical operations in the Akron market.
The Director of Clinical Services will lead the delivery of direct and indirect patient-care services, support and develop clinical supervisors and field clinicians, and ensure the organization consistently provides compliant, high-quality, patient-centered hospice care.
This position is well suited for an RN leader who understands both the clinical and operational sides of hospice and can effectively balance patient care, staffing, regulatory compliance, team development, productivity, and organizational performance.
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Ohio.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program.
- Advanced nursing or healthcare leadership education is preferred.
- Hospice leadership or management experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and develop clinical and administrative personnel.
- Working knowledge of Medicare hospice regulations, clinical documentation, quality improvement, and accreditation standards.
- Understanding of hospice operations, staffing, productivity, census management, and interdisciplinary care.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and appropriate automobile insurance.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The preferred candidate will be a visible, hands-on clinical leader who can establish accountability while maintaining a supportive and collaborative culture.
This individual should be comfortable working closely with clinicians, physicians, operations leadership, referral partners, patients, and families.
Prior experience as a Director of Clinical Services, Director of Nursing, Patient Care Manager, Clinical Manager, or comparable hospice clinical leader would be highly relevant.
