CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT OR EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIAN

SunState Health Staffing has been retained as the recruitment partner for a well-established outpatient primary care clinic in Florida seeking a Certified Medical Assistant or Emergency Medical Technician.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
This outpatient clinical setting provides personalized, relationship-based primary care and occasional in-home visits. The team values continuity of care, strong communication, and a supportive work environment where patients are known by name and treated with respect.

SCHEDULE AND WORK LIFE BALANCE

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 in the morning to 5:00 in the afternoon

• Predictable weekday schedule designed to support work life balance

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Greet and interview patients, triage concerns, and document patient history

• Take and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height, weight)

• Prepare and restock exam rooms; keep equipment and instruments clean and sterilized

• Perform basic diagnostic tests (electrocardiogram, glucose, international normalized ratio, urinalysis, rapid strep)

• Administer injections, provide intravenous treatments, and draw blood for laboratory testing (within scope)

• Call in prescriptions and handle refill requests as directed by the provider

• Support patients by phone in a timely, professional, and confidential manner

• Support front office as needed (answering phones, scheduling, filing)

• Occasionally assist with in-home patient visits under the direction of the supervising provider

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Active Certified Medical Assistant certification or active Emergency Medical Technician certification

• Bilingual Spanish required

• Basic Life Support certification required

• Basic X-Ray Machine Operator certification is a plus

• At least one year of back office or clinical experience preferred

• Friendly, compassionate, and comfortable supporting patients in difficult or emotional situations

• Strong organization, time management, and communication skills

• Able to work independently and as part of a team

• Committed to strict confidentiality of patient information
