Commission & Field Service Specialist III

About the RoleWe are seeking a Commission & Field Service Specialist III to oversee the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of industrial systems. This hands-on role involves working directly with industrial equipment, providing technical expertise, and supporting customers with system maintenance and process improvements. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic field service environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise customer installation of industrial automation and process systems.
• Install, configure, commission, and troubleshoot continuous processing systems, including pumps, motors, and valves.
• Identify and implement process and equipment improvements to enhance system efficiency.
• Assist in the specification, installation, and modification of industrial systems.
• Manage service programs, including audits, vibration analysis, and preventive maintenance (PM) programs.
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance documentation for equipment.
• Conduct customer training on system operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance best practices.
• Act as a technical resource for both customers and internal teams.
• Generate daily progress reports during startup and field service visits.
• Analyze operational data, identify root causes of issues, and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Document customer visits, process audits, and troubleshooting steps.
• International travel (up to 20%) required for installation and commissioning projects.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering OR 10+ years of direct experience in industrial equipment installation and maintenance.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with industrial systems.
• Comfortable working directly on industrial equipment in a hands-on role.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and OEM manuals.
• Experience with AutoCAD preferred (or willingness to learn).
• Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate with customers and teams.
• Willingness to travel internationally (up to 20%).

• Ability to train and mentor both employees and customers.
