What they’re looking for:•Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the State of Ohio•BLS certification within 30 days of employment required Hours and compensation potential:•Position is full time, Day shift•Compensation range is $32hr-$48hr depending on experience. •A full benefits package is included as well as a sign-on bonus.What you’ll be doing:•As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for evaluation, treatment planning, treatment and discharge planning of patients with communication, cognition or swallowing difficulties that may result from illness, surgery, stroke, injury, congenital disorders, or developmental delays. Helps patients develop or recover reliable communication, cognition, or swallowing function through individualized treatment programs, instruction and use of compensatory strategies, and ongoing patient and caregiver education. The majority of services are outpatient, with a low percentage of inpatient. This is a full-time position. Primarily pediatric outpatient SLP with MBSS/IP coverage as well. •Evaluates the patient’s condition upon referral. Integrates data from a variety of assessment techniques to create a customized treatment plan including short term and long term goals. •Provides safe and effective speech therapy treatment incorporating physical, mental, social and emotional components to achieve improved quality of life and a sense of independence. Demonstrates the ability to apply accurate therapeutic principles and practices. Uses appropriate technical knowledge and clinical judgment in observing patient’s reactions to treatments.•Completes documentation timely to maximize compensation of speech therapy treatment.•Demonstrates open and effective communication with other health care providers, patients and families. Treats patients and families with dignity and respect. Ensures confidentiality of patient records.
