Successful, established privately held company is hiring a Manufacturing Accountant!  Expand your accounting skills and work for a company with established accounting functions and be trained by the VP of Finance.  Daily activities will include:
 
  • Processing salary and hourly payroll for the site within ADP 
  • Completing accounts payables, accounts receivables and check runs 
  • Logging, recording and reconciling bank activity  
  • Completing the site closing process, including journal entries and analysis
  • Assisting with the annual budgeting process 
  • Completing financial analysis projects
  • Assisting with cash flow analysis and inventory adjustments 
  • Running accounting reports as needed 
  • Partnering with the VP of Finance to assist with P&L analysis
  • Following through with collection calls as needed 
  • Supporting shipping functions and completing customer shipments and tracking 
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements for the Manufacturing Accountant:
1. Ideally a Bachelor's degree, comparative experience will be considered in lieu of degree
2. Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a similar manufacturing accounting position 
3. Experience completing manufacturing accounting tasks (reconciliation, payroll, A/P, A/R, closing, etc.)
4. Willing to support shipping functions up to 40% of the time 
5. Microsoft Office 

Skills that are preferred, BUT NOT required:
1. Experience processing payroll
2. ERP experience 
3. Cost accounting  
4. Shipping experience 
5. Month-end and year-end closing 
 
Candidates are required to be local to the Dayton, OH area.  There is not any relocation being offered for this position.
