Production Superintendent
A well-established manufacturing organization serving multiple industrial markets is seeking a Production Superintendent to lead manufacturing operations in the Angola, Indiana area.
This is a high-visibility leadership role responsible for overseeing plant production, supervising production leaders, and ensuring safe, efficient operations that meet quality and delivery expectations.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead daily manufacturing operations and ensure production goals are achieved
• Supervise, mentor, and develop Production Supervisors across multiple shifts
• Manage production schedules to support on-time customer delivery
• Monitor plant performance using KPIs and operational metrics
• Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues
• Maintain strong focus on labor efficiency, productivity, and cost control
• Support plant safety initiatives and ensure a safe working environment
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and leadership teams to improve operational performance
Leadership Responsibilities
• Direct supervision of production supervisors and manufacturing personnel
• Participate in hiring, training, and performance management of employees
• Assign and coordinate work activities to meet operational goals
• Address employee concerns and ensure compliance with company policies
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or related field preferred
(Equivalent manufacturing leadership experience will be considered)
• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations
• Experience managing production scheduling and plant operations
• Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience required
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience managing labor performance and operational metrics
• Proficiency with standard computer systems and reporting tools
