Our client is a large manufacturing facility operating a high-speed, industrial production environment. This role supports critical equipment reliability, electrical distribution, and automation systems to keep operations running safely and efficiently.
The Industrial Maintenance Electrician performs scheduled, unplanned, and emergency electrical maintenance to support mill equipment, automation systems, and electrical distribution. This position works hands-on with high-speed production equipment, troubleshooting controls and instrumentation, repairing electro-mechanical systems, and supporting electrical systems up to 4160V. The ideal candidate has strong industrial electrical maintenance experience, can read drawings and schematics, and is comfortable working a rotating 12-hour DuPont schedule.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled, unplanned, and emergency maintenance repairs on mill equipment, electrical distribution systems, and supporting equipment
- Maintain high-speed automation equipment, tooling, and associated machinery to designed standards
- Install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment and distribution systems up to 4160V
- Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and HMIs
- Use electrical test equipment including multi-meters, thermal imaging cameras, meggers, and other diagnostic tools
- Repair electrical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic circuits and devices
- Troubleshoot control loops and motor controls including magnetic and electronic motor controls, timers, counters, and sequencers
- Comply with all safety responsibilities and maintain clean, orderly work areas
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a large-scale heavy industrial manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of AC and DC controls
- Experience working with VSDs and VFDs
- Experience with installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical equipment and distribution systems
- Ability to access and read electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
- Knowledge of instrumentation (pressure transmitters, level indicators, RTDs, valve positioners, etc.)
- Experience with SAP, Siemens PCS-7 (or equivalent), and Profibus communication protocol preferred
- Strong communication skills with a team-player attitude
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts (DuPont schedule), including weekends and holidays
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
