Join our team as an SLP-CCC serving pediatric clients in our Tuscaloosa outpatient clinic and surrounding school districts within 50 miles. You’ll primarily focus on pediatric care, with occasional opportunities to support local skilled nursing facilities based on community needs.

 

Job Duties

  • Deliver high-quality direct speech-language therapy services aligned with IEP goals and physician orders.

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations across speech, language, voice, fluency, pragmatics, and oral motor domains, authoring clear diagnostic reports.

  • Formulate and execute individualized treatment plans aimed at overall educational and functional progress.

  • Guide educators and support staff on identifying, observing, and referring suspected speech/language delays.

  • Partner with interdisciplinary care teams, teachers, and service providers to ensure seamless care coordination and skill generalization across environments.

  • Complete all treatment documentation, progress notes, and service logs promptly within established agency and regulatory guidelines.

  • Uphold professional ethics, patient rights, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

  • Provide clinical direction to support staff assisting with speech program delivery.

  • Stay current on clinical best practices, evidence-based interventions, and industry trends.

 
 

Licensure & Certifications

  • Active Alabama State Speech-Language Pathology License (must be held on or before the first day of employment).

  • Current CPR certification.

  • Valid driver’s license and active auto insurance.

Education & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (or related therapy field) from an accredited program, or an equivalent credential verified by an approved certifying body.

  • Clinical experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.

Physical Demands

  • Clear visual acuity and strong oral/written communication skills.

  • Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, and retrieve medical equipment or supplies weighing at least 30 lbs.

  • Ability to safely transfer and reposition patients (assistance should be requested for tasks exceeding 30 lbs).
