Engineering Manager 

We are searching for a seasoned Engineering Manager to provide leadership for our engineering team and promote ongoing improvement throughout our production operations. The Engineering Manager will play a critical role in developing engineering talent, streamlining processes, supporting the introduction of new products, and ensuring the plant consistently meets safety, quality, cost, and delivery standards. The successful candidate will be a proactive leader, capable of balancing strategic vision with hands-on problem solving on the shop floor, while also interacting directly with customers to address technical requirements and product needs.

  • Strategic Engineering & Leadership
  • Lead and mentor the engineering team, which includes process engineers, application engineers, CNC programmers, and CAD resources.
  • Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for advanced manufacturing technologies to support the growth of the product pipeline.
  • Collaborate directly with customers to understand technical requirements, product applications, and provide engineering support.
  • Drive operational excellence by maintaining accurate bills of materials (BOMs) and manufacturing processes within the ERP system.
  • Take ownership of process capability, throughput, and initiatives aimed at reducing scrap.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and work collaboratively across departments to plan and implement improvement strategies.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and resources to achieve project goals.
  • Lead capital projects, including justification, vendor selection, installation, and validation.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver equipment upgrades and automation projects.
  • New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • Provide engineering leadership for new product introductions from initial concept through to production launch.
  • Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, safety regulations, and other relevant industry standards.
  • Collaboration and Reporting
  • Work closely with the VP of Operations and cross-functional teams to support business objectives and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • ISO 9001 standards and quality management systems.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Lean Manufacturing initiatives and process improvements.
  • ERP systems
  • Root cause analysis (RCA), corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and 8D problem-solving.
  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • CNC programming and machining.

Preferred

  • Power Transmission and Industrial Bearing applications
  • Master’s degree or professional certifications such as PMP or Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt.
  • CNC and manufacturing automation.
  • Managing capital projects
  • Acumatica ERP
