Lithium (preferred) or Lead Acid battery experience working with CATV (cable tv) and Telecom (telecommunications) equipment.  Must have experience engineering systems and backup applications.  The position can be part-time or full-time depending on your situation.  It is remotely based although we prefer someone located in the Eastern or Central time zone.

 

• System Integration: Designing lithium battery systems (e.g., 36V or 48V modules) that seamlessly integrate with existing CATV and telecom outdoor UPS units.
• Performance Monitoring: Developing and managing Battery Management Systems (BMS) to monitor cell voltage, temperature, and overall health remotely.
• Network Reliability: Ensuring backup power solutions can sustain 25KW+ systems for critical windows during mains failure to prevent service interruptions.
• Testing & Compliance: Conducting FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) to ensure battery packs meet safety standards like UL and UN. 

• Technical Knowledge: Expertise in electrochemistry, battery cell design, and thermal management.
• Telecom Context: Familiarity with RF engineering, signal flow, and CATV network infrastructure.
