The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in physics and hands-on experience with semiconductor crystal growth across various techniques. You’ll be joining a dynamic team driving innovations in compound semiconductor materials for high-performance electronic and optoelectronic applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and optimize the growth of high-quality GaAs crystals via the VGF method.
  • Develop and refine thermal profiles, crucible configurations, and ambient conditions to ensure consistent crystal quality and yield.
  • Collaborate with R&D teams to analyze crystal defects and improve process parameters.
  • Utilize characterization techniques such as XRD, SEM, and Hall measurements to assess material quality.
  • Author technical documentation and support production scaling efforts.
  • Maintain lab equipment and ensure compliance with safety and cleanroom protocols.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Physics, Materials Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience in crystal growth for semiconductors (VGF, LEC, CZ, MBE, CVD, or other methods).
  • Deep understanding of thermodynamics, phase diagrams, and solid-state physics.
  • Familiarity with GaAs and III-V compound materials is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with hands-on lab experience.
  • Fluent in English; Mandarin is a plus but not required.

Preferred Traits
