These technicians are subject matter experts on all TNOC- Transport Network Operation Center platforms to include: ADM, DCS, MUX, and DWDM technologies.

Their primary function is to accept escalated network troubles and perform permanent repairs. The technician will evaluate the escalated trouble, order a replacement module, create a change request if applicable, and perform final repair.

This technician will also support the Surveillance/Triage and Tech II Repair groups in providing training, technical bulletins, and job aides. A tech III will possess strong analytical, technical, and organizational skills.

Network repair is a critical function within the network restoration process and can ultimately impact the TNOC's ability to meet Network Availability and Restoration commitments made to our customers.

This role is a Hybrid position. You will be asked/required to come into the office for trainings, meetings, and other significant functions. Team members typically come in at least one day per week, however that is at the discretion of the manager and the business unit.

Applicants should reside in, or close to : Broomfield/Denver CO, Norcross GA, Tulsa OK.

• Monitors and maintains the Lumen Transport Network. Opens trouble tickets and works the repair of network equipment and facilities with field operations, Tier 3 support and off-net providers.
• Knows equipment-specific maintenance procedures and can assist field ops in card swaps and equipment restoral.
• Takes the lead in driving equipment and facility repair.
• Knows transport network topology and can make final go/no-go decisions on maintenance activities based on the current network status.
• Analyzes network events and identifies critical issues, setting appropriate priorities to maintain network reliability.
• Able to follow MOPs, anticipate problems, and take corrective action proactively.
• Has thorough understanding of transport networks and Lumen repair procedures.
• Able to work with minimal supervision in a Network Operations Center and is available to work all hours in a 24x7 environment.

• Associate degree or equivalent education and relevant experience.
• Team player with high self-initiative and excellent communication skills.
• Expert in SONET, SDH and DWDM equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
• Fiber optics
• Lumen systems to include, tickets, phones and all tools used in the Transport Network area of responsibility
• Experience with Ciena, Infinera, Fuji, Cisco, Nortel, ALU, Coriant- to name a few.
