We're working with a well-established regional healthcare system in the DC area on a search for a Senior Accountant to support their General Ledger function. This is a solid opportunity for someone with strong close experience who wants to grow within a stable, mission-driven organization.

The Role

The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate general ledgers, preparing financial reports and analysis, and supporting the Assistant Controller with day-to-day accounting operations. Month-end close ownership is a core part of this role.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required; Master's degree preferred
• CPA preferred
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience with direct month-end close responsibilities
• 3+ years of experience with ERP financial systems and financial software
• Advanced Excel proficiency
• Healthcare industry experience a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative team orientation
