Senior Associate Attorney – Public Entity / Civil Rights Litigation
Pay: $170,000.00 - $210,000.00 per year

Note: Must have an active California Bar license and strong litigation experience. Public entity litigation experience is preferred, and civil rights litigation experience is highly desired.

Job Description
- Manage litigation matters from intake through resolution, including discovery, motion practice, deposition work, trial preparation, and trial support
- Draft, review, and argue motions, pleadings, and other key litigation filings
- Take and defend depositions and handle fact development throughout the life of a case
- Work directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and the court
- Conduct legal research and develop case strategy in collaboration with partners and senior attorneys
- Handle public entity, general liability, insurance defense, and related civil litigation matters
- Help mentor and support junior attorneys as you grow within the firm
- Maintain strong case organization, time management, and responsiveness in a fast-paced practice
Qualifications
- Active California Bar license
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school
- 2+ years of litigation experience
- Experience handling key phases of litigation, including written discovery, depositions, and motion practice
- Strong legal writing, oral advocacy, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage cases with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Public entity litigation experience preferred
- Civil rights litigation experience highly desired
- Experience with Clio and Lexis is a plus
